House GOP Caucus introduces “Save Our Schools” education plan

Earlier this week Minnesota Governor Tim Walz introduced his revised state budget proposal, and Minnesota House Republicans raised concerns about proposed funding cuts to education statewide. Representative Ron Kresha (R-Little Falls) tells us more about the proposed cuts, and the GOP’s plan for education funding.

Co-Chair of the House Education Committee Rep. Peggy Bennett (R-Albert Lea) spoke about things she’s hearing from Minnesota Superintendents in the education committee, and she says a lot of the schools funding shortfalls are from unfunded mandates implemented by the Minnesota Legislature last year.

Lastly Rep. Ben Bakeberg (R-Jordan) called for state legislators and leaders to “listen to local educators”, and not bureaucrats in St Paul.

The whole GOP Press Conference can be heard online on the MNHouseInfo YouTube page.
