During Monday’s Roseau County Commissioner meeting a discussion was held regarding the sentence to serve program which may see a funding cut. As the program currently stands, Roseau County and the state share in the cost of Jason Holter who is in charge of the program. District 2 County Commissioner Glenda Phillipe explains the value of the priogram.
The county is taking a proactive approach in the matter and are looking at options. Janelle Cheney, Department of Corrections was on hand to suggest a proposal. Phillipe explains.
While no decision has been made at this time, pending the state budget, the county will revisit the matter in April.
