WARROAD, Minn. — Warroad residents will have an opportunity to hear from local and regional candidates during a candidate forum scheduled for October 13 at the Warroad High School theater.
Warroad Community Development Director Sarah Carling provided an update on the event during Warroad’s latest city council meeting. Carling said the forum will feature candidates for state Senate, state House of Representatives, county commissioner, Warroad City Council, school board and sheriff.
An open-house-style forum will follow the candidate presentations after 6 p.m. Carling said organizers are also working on a survey to gather questions from the community. Questions may be developed around common themes that emerge from the survey responses.
Banners promoting the event have also been placed throughout Warroad. More information about the forum and how residents can submit questions is expected to be released as the event approaches. For updates, follow the Warroad Community Development facebook page, and tune in next Friday Oct. 9 when Sarah Carling will be on KQ92’s Community Conversation.
