Yeah okay I’m the “old guy” at the radio station…
The high school winter sports season is beginning to wind down…Girls hockey was third at State and the boys hockey team lost out in the Section semifinals…Boys basketball playoffs start this week and the Girls basketball playoffs next week…I am the play by play voice here at KQ92 and I host the KQ92 Morning Show and am on the air until 11am Monday through Friday…We cover high school sports for Warroad, Roseau and Lake of the Woods…It’s great to be a part of that and, with help from the MSBN Sports Network and their newly revamped web site, being able to bring you high school sporting events on the internet…This school year we have added the video element to our internet broadcasts for both the hockey and basketball seasons…check out the MSBN web site for a detailed list of games that we are broadcasting online…We are also glad to announce the addition of Lou Cooper to Lake Country KQ92 (read his bio below)…I came to the area from Olivia Minnesota where I worked as the sports director at KOLV-FM and before that southeast Iowa and before THAT it was the Republic of the Marshall Islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean…Ask me sometime, and I’ll tell you what it was like living out there…I can tell you this much, cold out there is 75 degrees and it only got that cold maybe 5 times in the 2 years that I was out there!!!…Shoot me an email sometime if you have any sports information (especially schedules), or if you just have a comment good or bad or just because 🙂 …Thanks for listening to Today’s New Hit Country, Lake Country KQ92 !!!
I was born in Fort Francis Ontario, raised in Int’l Falls, MN, graduated from Lake of the Woods High School in Baudette, MN, and here I am in Warroad, MN. Just skirtin’ my way across northern MN. I never did go to college, which I regret. But I have been given some great opportunities. All of
which I am grateful for. I enjoy all country music, old and new. There are some talented new artists on the scene and it will be interesting to watch them on their journey. We are all on our own journeys. Try and live each day to the fullest and don’t sweat the small stuff……….see ya.
