IMG_2154How’s it goin’ !

Hard to believe that another high school sports season is coming to an end…A busy year to say the least, a state tournament trip for the Warroad girls hockey team, a second trip to state for the Warroad Bantam A hockey team, and another season of area spring sports on our sister station KRWB with high school softball and baseball…Also another great year partnering up with the MSBN Sports Network to bring you high school sports online…I am the play by play voice here at KQ92 and I host the KQ92 Morning Show and am on the air until 11am Monday through Friday…We cover high school sports for Warroad, Roseau and Lake of the Woods…We are also glad to announce the addition of Lou Cooper to Lake Country KQ92 (read his bio below)…I came to the area from Olivia Minnesota where I worked as the sports director at KOLV-FM and before that southeast Iowa and before THAT it was the Republic of the Marshall Islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean…Ask me sometime, and I’ll tell you what it was like living out there…I can tell you this much, cold out there is 75 degrees and it only got that cold maybe 5 times in the 2 years that I was out there!!!…Shoot me an email sometime if you have any sports information (especially schedules), or if you just have a comment good or bad or just because 🙂 …Thanks for listening to Today’s New Hit Country, Lake Country KQ92 !!!

JUDY OLSON

judyYou  can find me here on KQ92 working the Morning Drive from 6a-9a. Had that gig since 2007. . I worked for KQ92 back in 1992 for a few years, then  came back in 2003.

I was born in Fort Francis Ontario, raised in Int’l Falls, MN, graduated from Lake of the Woods High School in Baudette, MN, and here I am in Warroad, MN. Just skirtin’ my way across northern MN. I never did go to college, which I regret. But I have been given some great opportunities. All of

which I am grateful for. I enjoy all country music, old and new. There are some talented new artists on the scene and it will be interesting to watch them on their journey. We are all on our own journeys. Try and live each day to the fullest and don’t sweat the small stuff……….see ya.

Thank you all for the kind words and welcoming me to northern Minnesota. My name is Lou Cooper and it’s a pleasure to be with you from 11am-5pm every weekday. I originally come from Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula where I was born and raised. For just under 30 years I have called Wisconsin home, having worked at a couple of radio stations in the central part of the state. My professional achievements pale in comparison to my personal life, being married to an amazing woman, having raised 3 wonderful children who are now adults, and being involved with so many great friends and family members. But when the opportunity came up at KQ92, I just couldn’t say no.

LOU COOPER
lou cooper picMost of my career has been spent in the country music format, and I’ve seen quite the evolution through the years. Not only the music itself but the technology that allows us to serve the community in even better ways. Hopefully I have been able to keep up with the times enough to utilize all of those tools effectively. If you ever have any comments or suggestions, there’s a variety of ways to contact me. Whether it be Email, Facebook, the phone, or just out and about in person. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me and thanks again for welcoming me into your communities with open arms.
