The Warroad Warrior football team won their Homecoming game with a 50-20 win over the Crookston Pirates on the brand new turf field at the Warroad Athletic Complex. After the Warriors Cody Kvarnlov scored on the opening drive of the game, Connor Lund scored two touchdowns in the first half for the Warriors. Warroad senior quarterback Liam Grover had two touchdowns rushing and connected with Luke Billingsley on a 55-yard scoring play. Matthew Nordine returned an interception for a touchdown in the second half and Parker Mohs kicked a 22-yard field goal. With the win Warroad improves to 1-5 on the season and will play at Hawley next week. Crookston remains winless at 0-6 and host the Barnesville Trojans next week.
