MNDOT holds two business briefings in Warroad

On Tuesday this week, MNDOT held two briefings in Warroad focusing on specifically businesses that will be affected regarding the upcoming roundabout and bridge construction projects. Cole Nelson, construction project engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation explains.

The second meeting also had a representative from the Small Business Development Center to answer questions about assistance for disruption of business during construction. While commuters traveling in Warroad will be affected, businesses such as the Dairy Queen, the Phoenix, Northern Neighbors and Lake of the Woods Coffee will feel the brunt of disruptions. Lake of the Woods Coffee owner Scott Marvin expressed his concerns.

He was also asked if he was finding the public forums beneficial to answering questions and concerns.

That was Scott Marvin. More public meetings will be held in the future to keep the public and businesses updated on the project. Be sure to listen to KQ92 and KRWB for future meeting times and dates. You can follow the project by visiting mndot.gov/d2/projects/hwy11-warroad.
