
The spring wheat harvest is moving along quickly across the country, with progress ahead of both last year and the five-year average.
The latest USDA Crop Progress Report, released Monday is showing the spring wheat harvest is moving quicker than last year and the 5 year average. As of Monday, 41 percent of the state’s spring wheat crop has been harvested. That’s up 17 percentage points from the previous week, when harvest was at 24 percent.
Spring wheat conditions are rated 52 percent good to excellent, with 36 percent rated fair, 10 percent poor and 2 percent very poor.
The USDA’s latest report continues to show the spring wheat harvest moving faster than normal, with producers making significant progress over the past week.
