Grygla School students to attend student council summit


Members of the Grygla School Student Council will be attending a Student Council summit in Fosston on Friday. Grygla School Superintendent Derek Gieseke talked on the Grygla School news segment on Wednesday and gave further details.

He went on to say that this is the meeting that they vote on their regional board for Student Council members. Student Council members attending from the Grygla School are in Grades 9 thru 12.

Paul Bunyan Transit Survey

Paul Bunyan Transit is currently conducting a public transit survey through March 24th. This feedback will help them understand and make improvements in Beltrami County and city of Bemidji, Roseau County, the cities of Roseau and Warroad and Lake of the Woods County and Baudette. To complete the survey, visit surveymonkey.com/r/PBTransit. Paper copies of the survey will be available on Paul Bunyan Transit buses. The service is funded in part by the Minnesota Department of Transportation Office of Transit and Active Transportation.

MnDot to update Warroad residents on Highway 11 project

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting an Open House on Tuesday March18 from 3-5pm at the Warroad City Hall, 121 Main Avenue Northeast in Warroad, to share information about the Highway 11 Warroad construction in 2025. Attendees will find out more about the two-year project schedule, traffic impacts, and alternative routes to use during construction. Project staff will be available to provide information about the project and answer questions. There will be no formal presentation, and attendees are welcome to arrive anytime during the meeting. Beginning in May, this project includes constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Highways 11 and 313 as well as replacing the bridge over the Warroad River. This project will include a safer road, safer intersections, longer lasting driving surface and pedestrian accessibility. It is expected to be complete early-October, weather permitting. The bridge project is a two-year project which will resume in 2026. Motorists can expect a truck detour utilizing Roseau County roads 9 and 12.
