NMRC Opens North STAR Center In Bemidji
BEMIDJI, MN—The Northern Minnesota Robotics Conference opened its new North STAR Center Wednesday at the Beltrami County Fairgrounds in Bemidji. Matt Wendland, President of the Northern Minnesota Robotics Conference, says it took some time to find the right location for the center.
The North STAR Center will be used by robotics teams across the region. Wendland says students helped with the construction.
The North STAR Center is now officially open at the Beltrami County Fairgrounds in Bemidji.
Arts Grants Available to Schools through the NWMAC
BEMIDJI, Minn — The back to school season has arrived, which means the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council (NWMAC) is once again accepting grant applications from local school districts to support the arts. NWMAC Director Mara Hanel says one way districts can utilize these funds is by applying for the Artist Residency Portion of the grant.
Hanel says they also have grant funding available for art equipment.
