Waterfowl hunting season is just around the corner in Minnesota, with early teal season opening Saturday and running through September 9th. The Minnesota DNR is reminding hunters to review regulations, watch for other people on the water and take special care around wild rice beds, which are being harvested in early September.
Regular duck season opens September 26, with dates varying by zone. Youth waterfowl weekend is September 12th and 13th. Hunters aged 16 and older also need a federal duck stamp, which costs $30.
