Warroad Public Schools will celebrate the grand opening of its new all-inclusive playground Thursday, October 22, from 5 to 6 p.m.

The playground was designed to give children of all abilities a safe, welcoming place to play together, with equipment accommodating a range of physical, sensory and developmental needs. Community volunteers helped bring the project to life. The celebration at Warroad Public Schools will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, music, bubble dancing, chalk drawings and prizes.

School officials remind the public to stay off the rubber surface and new equipment until the safety fencing and caution tape are removed. The playground will open following the ceremony.
