DNR Completes Aerial Seeding Project

The Minnesota DNR has wrapped up a project to sow tree, and another round of aerial seeding by using a helicopter. Silviculture Program coordinator Chris Gronewold says the program lets the DNR sow in the hard to reach areas.

This fall, the DNR did about 19 different state forest sites for 570 acres. Every year, the DNR plants about two million trees across the state.
