Minnesota DNR Eyeing Potential Year Round Bass Fishing Season

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is currently exploring potential changes to the Minnesota bass fishing season. DNR Northwest Fisheries Supervisor Nathan Olson says the DNR is considering a year round catch and release bass season.

Olson says the hope is that these changes would be implemented by the start of the new fishing season in March.

More information on Minnesota’s fishing season can be seen on the Minnesota DNR website at dnr.state.mn.us.
